The quietest appliance on earth; adequate options for placing dishes; room to add a second silverware holder. We had a Bosch dishwasher in our last home, and each time we've taken the upper tray for flat items completely out to make more room in the top rack. Our preference. Highly recommend Finish Powerball and the Finish Rinse Aid. Dishes come out sparkly clean. Of course, always rinse dishes prior to putting them into the washer.

This Bosch dishwasher is 100% better than my old one. It's quite and everything comes out spotless when the cycle ends. However, the dishes collect water and are not fully dry at the end of the cycle.

My new Bosch dishwasher is a replacement for my old Bosch which I had for 23 years! It is super quiet and I love the red light beam on the floor to remind me that it is still operating.
I also love the extra upper silverware tray…very convenient. I am somewhat disappointed that it doesn't completely dry the plastic food storage container lids, so I still have to wipe them dry. Overall it is a great appliance and I can highly recommend it to everyone.

This Bosch is amazing. The three racks accommodate every dirty dish and utensil combination that can be imagined, especially when one changes the configuration and of the structure of the rack and their alignment to handle the "special" cases one might encounter. But that is not the only smart aspect of the Bosch. Choices, one has choices of how long the machine washes, of where really dirty dishes can get extra attention, of how the dishes are dried, and--to top those off--a remote set up and start. Clean up couldn't be any easier or any more efficient!

When my husband and I moved into our house, we were greeted with a leaky GE Profile dishwasher. After having it repaired several times, we bit the bullet and decided to replace it. We thought it was a defective product, not a defective model. Well, the replacement leaked too. That's when we realized we needed to make a change. After doing significant research, we decided to go ahead and get the Bosch 800 series and we couldn't be happier. When the installer was running a test run, I thought the machine was off because of how quiet it was. I genuinely couldn't hear a peep. He then showed me the light feature. When it's on, a red light appears on the floor. After he left, I did multiple test runs myself. I laid on the floor convinced I would find a leak, but there was nothing. My husband and I have used the dishwasher many times since and have completely fallen in love with it. It's quiet, it cleans everything well, and it's versatile; I'm constantly moving the racks to accommodate all sorts of different dishes. I can't recommend this product enough.

This new Bosh dishwasher does not clean dishes as well as my old dishwasher. The racks are hard to load and many of the settings can only be accessed through the app. Which is a problem since this washer will not pair to the Home Connect app.

When I sold my house in 2017 I left my Bosch dishwasher behind. My new house had another brand which never met my expectations. I finally decided earlier this year that I would replace what I had and get a Bosch once again. When I shopped, the design was much difference that what I had before. I wasn't sure I would like the separate silverware tray at the top. I wasn't sure that the other two sections would be deep enough for my dishes and leftover containers. But everything fits. There are just two of us so I normally run it every two days. I love everything about the new design. It cleans my glasses, dishes, and even pots and pans with no residue or water spots. And it is SO quiet. The only thing I would improve is that the silverware tray usually retains some water particularly around the top edge. Other than that, I have nothing but praise and appreciation to offer. I am so pleased that I am a Bosch owner once more!

I selected the subject Bosch dishwasher because I wanted the best for my home use. It certainly is that and for the home with a lot of different types of dishes it has all sorts of capability. I found the iniation of the wash cycle a bit more complicated than I would like. Currently, I use the remote start using my Apple iPhone. There are a lot of options one can select which is great. I live alone, and find it a bit too involved in selecting the numerous options that are available depending on what you are washing. I haven't learned how to use the simplest of option, to just push one button to start the washer.

The dishwashing functions are highly effective, with particularly strong drying at end of cycle. The new touch controls are very nice, and it's So quiet that the light letting you know that it's operating is almost a necessity, not just a convenience.
However, the interior racks are not well-designed. The third rack, for tableware, is a easy to dump things into, but requires handling everything individually to put things away, and it restricts the use of the center rack for wine glasses or tall water glasses. You can remove it, and we have. The basket provided as an alternative is on the small side and must be placed on the right-hand side of the bottom rack. It has square corners, so it cannot be placed at the very front of the rack for easy accessibility when just loading tableware. It does not rest on the base of the rack, but must be hooked over the side of the rack. I have seen other Bosch dishwashers with this configuration where one of the hooks has broken off. The tines on the racks seem designed for specific functions rather than variable uses, and part of the bottom rack on the right is left blank, presumably to allow the tableware basket to be put anywhere along that side.
The door on our previous dishwasher ( a Miele) was very well balanced and would open easily and stay open at any degree. This one really has to be pushed almost all the way open to stay at all, which makes opening it a little to pop a single item either into a rack or the basket unnecessarily tricky. We'll get used to it, but it's not ideal. Rack design should be maximally flexible, and the dish basket should fit on either side all the way to the front.

We have been very pleased with our Bosch SHX78CM5N dishwasher. It cleans extremely well, even when dishes have dried-on food, and the CrystalDry feature leaves everything-including most plastic items-remarkably dry. It is so quiet that we sometimes have to check the indicator light to make sure it is running.
The adjustable racks and flexible third rack make it easy to accommodate different-sized dishes, cookware, and utensils. The controls are straightforward, and the stainless-steel finish looks great in our kitchen. Overall, this dishwasher feels well-built and has been an excellent addition to our home. I would definitely recommend it.

Only had this dishwasher a week but it's been superb so far. The dishes have come out squeaky clean and dry using the drying mode. No need to pre-wash they seem to come clean no matter what's on them.

This is our third Bosch dishwasher, and in general we arw vry happy with it. It is as quiet as advertised, and does a really good job of getting everything clean. The app is helpful for checking how much time is left, but not fo much else. I can't seem to figure out how to start (or restart) the unit from the app. My biggest complaint is the need to push start again if you add a dish. The last two Bosch dishwashers started as soon as the door was closed again. Not this one, and that feels like a takeaway. Even so, this unit is worth the cost.

The size of the silverware rack is absolutely ridiculous. I thought they had made a mistake and didn't send us the other half, but apparently it only comes with a half size rack and you need to purchase another one if you want an efficient dishwasher.

I loved my old Bosch which was almost 15 years old. I feel this new one isokay but inferior in some points. First, I only got one silverware holder. I am aware there is a third upper rack which can hold more. That 3rd rack for larger utensils is a positive. I also feel the lower rack is not made as sturdy as my old model. It is quieter than my other model but the old one was also quiet. The middle rack which holds cups and glasses - I cannot move the holder on the right side. I am not crazy about the touch control. So I can only give it a 3 star. If I had it to do over, I believe I would look at other machines and not rely on Consumer reports - which I did and usually approve of their rating.

Poor quality compared to my old dishwasher. Racks are flimsy, utensil basket won't stay put and drying cycle doesn't work. When I pull out racks water splashes on my floor. Only positive is that it doesclean the dishes.

Loved this Bosch 800 Series (SHPM65Z55N) for nearly 5 years - quiet, reliable, never a warranty claim. Then it died with a flashing red light (failed door latch sensor). Bosch quoted a $199 call-out fee plus $24 per 6 min labor - ~$440/hr before parts, nearly half what I paid. They refused to waive the fee even after 5 claim-free years. A premium brand should back its product. Loved the machine, but won't buy Bosch again.

This dishwasher works well..gets the dishes very clean with a very low sound factor..(I'd did not want a lot of noise when running)The top(3rd)rack is good for the silverware... I don't like the silverware basket..although it fits a lot of silverware, it's a small basket and moves around the area that's it set in..almost seems like it was an afterthought.. it took a bit to get used to the way the tines were slanted and it seems to not hold as much as our previous (GE monogram) but one of the main reasons I wanted to get rid of the GE was the weight/size of the door..5"longer and very heavy.. this one has a good weight..easy for someone with arthritis to handle. I do like the adjustable rack.. have used it a few times and it's helpful if you have something taller. It also have very long programs if you want the good drying..(there's a speed cycle-60 mins with limited drying). but all the others I've used so far ar 2 hours or longer but it does say it only uses 2.5 gallons water even though it takes so long.. But other than these few things, (which is why the 4 stars) it's a good dishwasher but next time I might upgrade to the Benchmark Bosch..wasn't told about it til after we purchased this one...we thought this one was the best.. although I saw the size of the door is larger so it might've been as heavy as the monogram...but I would've liked to been shown that and compared the two. (looks like the pricing wasn't that much different).

Yep, it's that QUIET. Thank goodness for the little red light on the floor that tells me it's still running or it's done.
My Bosch from 12 years ago was going strong when we sold that house so I made sure we put a Bosch in the new home. I appreciate the adjustability of the top cutlery tray that now lets me put ramekins and little dishes up top. However...I REALLY MISS the full length utensil holder on the bottom rack. As well as the tall rack thingie that was great for washing a vase or a tall mug on the bottom rack. I know it's available as an accessory but at the Bosch price point....c'mon.
Drying, especially plastic, is always dicey in a dishwasher and this one is GOOD at it. Sure, there are a few drops here and there on the plastic, but it's very minimal. I also appreciate the adjustability (in the app) for the level of JetDri you want to use in each wash.
5 Stars for this dishwasher---and with any luck it is as reliable over the long haul as my last one was.

This is my first new dishwasher in over 12 years. The DW does a great job cleaning my dishes, however, the racks feel much cheaper than those in previous dishwashers. Not waht I would expect with paying over $1000 for the dishwasher. I also don't like the fact that I have to use the app for delayed start. I miss having the delayed start button on the dishwasher itself.

We have been delighted with our Bosch dishwasher. So many good ideas incorpated into it and far less issues than we have had with other brands over the last 29 years. I was able to install it myself and we try to follow the recommendation to not clean the dishes TOO much. We thought we'd miss the large silverware basket but the top 3rd rack takes care of that. The Bosch basket could click in more securely but that's minor. The WiFi connection is great for getting status on how it's running but a clearer notification that it needs the rinse agent to be refilled would be helpful. So it works quietly, cleans extremely well, sanitizes and holds a lot. But that's not the best part! The BEST part is that it has made UNloading so much easier and faster. The silverware up so no bending and, if you group the type of utensil together (all the teaspoons together) you can grab a handjul and put them away--you already sorted them. We usually run it overnight because it's so quiet. It's been a great purchase.

We've bought three Bosch dishwashers for different houses, including our daughters over the years and have found them to have major repair cost within five years that doesn't justify them needing a repair. I would look for a brand that is more reliable or by the five-year service warranty. Two of the dishwashers leaked from the bottom and all three of them had similar repair needs regarding drainage issues. When they do work, they do work well. Will not purchase again based on poor reliability and poor Customer Service

I purchased this model specifically because it has a delay feature. I didn't realize that the delay could ONLY be scheduled via the app that needs to be connected to this dishwasher. It's fine to build smart features that can be tracked via an app, but to remove a common delay that has been available on many dishwashers in the past via on-dishwasher controls is a step backwards. This sours my experience with using Bosch appliances in the future.

We have been very impressed with this dishwasher. It has been extremely easy to use and the dishes come out very clean. Having the third rack on top has been really nice with cleaning smaller items that would take up too much room on the lower shelves.
This unit runs extremely quiet and it's nice having the red light to let us know when it's running.
I do appreciate having the mobile app. The app lets me see how much time is remaining, offers tips on how to extend the life of the unit, and allows me to run special programs.
Overall, we've been very impressed with this dishwasher and the value of provides.

I bought the same model, but it appears that the new one is a lot quieter, which is wonderful! It also has a few new features that are wonderful, too. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher because of its reputation for quality, reliability, and longevity. As someone who doesn't typically spend this kind of money on appliances, I viewed it as a long-term investment and expected exceptional performance. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing.
First, the drying performance has not lived up to expectations. The interior of the dishwasher often remains damp after a cycle, and there is a lingering odor inside the machine I did not expect from a brand-new appliance.
The detergent dispenser is another frustration. Closing the dispenser requires a surprising amount of precision. Instead of simply clicking shut, I often have to try two or three times before the small latch finally engages. It may seem like a minor issue, but when you're using the dishwasher daily, those little annoyances add up.
I was also under the impression modern premium dishwashers could handle dishes that were scraped but not pre-rinsed. In my experience, dishes that go in with normal food residue frequently come out needing additional cleaning. That was one of the features I was most looking forward to, and it has not met my expectations.
I also experienced a white film on my dishes. I eventually resolved the issue by placing a bowl of vinegar in the dishwasher during a cycle, but I don't believe a premium dishwasher should require household chemistry experiments to produce sparkling clean dishes.
To be fair, the dishwasher is quiet, attractive, and well-designed in many respects. However, for a product positioned as a premium appliance, I expected a more user-friendly experience and better cleaning and drying performance right out of the box.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but when you purchase a Bosch, you're not buying a dishwasher-you're buying the dream you've finally reached the dishwasher promised land. So far, I've arrived, but I'm still looking for the promised land part.
