Tri-River Appliance was established in 1980 by the Frasier and Schaal families as a Montrose based service and repair business serving an area which includes Gunnison, Lake City, Telluride, Nucla, Delta, Crested Butte and the North Fork Valley through ten employees. In those early days, the company serviced and repaired all major brands of appliances, electronics, and small engines. They became a warranty center for Maytag, Sears, Whirlpool and most of the other major brands.
In 1988, Tri-River purchased Lehigh's General Appliance of Montrose and transitioned from a service company to focus on sales. Today, we carry over thirty brands of appliances in our remodeled 4,000 square foot showroom and 11,000 square foot warehouse. In addition to our market presence in the Montrose and surrounding areas, we have extended operations into the Grand Junction area as well.
We currently employ a knowledgable staff of 13 sales, delivery and customer service representatives. Tri-River Appliance belongs to the Nationwide West Group, the largest buying group in the country, allowing us to purchase products at the most competitive prices.
